Abstract
In order to transfer desirable traits from diploid wheatgrass, an intergeneric hybrid (Triticum tlestivu". cv. Pollination of the Ft hybrid (2n = 27, ABDJ) with the pollen of wheat cultivars resulted in one BCt hybrid (2n = 48) planL Subsequentbackcrossingwithcommonwheat produced about 60BCz plantswith the chromosome number ranging from 2n ... 38 to 48.
