Higher Secondary School, Thuckalay, Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu, India 1993-1995; Tamilnadu Agricultural University University, Coimbatore, 1995-2002; B.Sc.(Ag.) 1999; M.Sc.(Ag.), 2002; Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, 2004-09; Ph.D., 2009.

Awards/Honours: Borlaug Global Rust Initiative (BGRI) - Gene Stewardship Award – 2018; National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) - Associate – 2018; Professor M.S.Swaminathan Best Scientist Award - 2018 of Bose Science Society; Young Scientist Award- 2018 of Society for Scientific Development in Agriculture & Technology; Dr. R.S. Paroda award for Young Scientist - 2016 of Indian Society of Plant Genetic Resources (ISPGR); Endeavour Research Fellowship – 2016; selected for ICAR Award for Outstanding Interdisciplinary Team Research in Agricultural and Allied Sciences – 2017.
