GREEN gram (Phaseolus aureus) is an important pulse grown extensively all over
Rajasthan. There is remarkable variability in almost all plant characters of
this crop. In the present investigation an attempt has been made to break up
the observed variability into its genetic components in order to estimate the
amount of heritable variability in a divergent group of 46 indigenous varieties
with the hope that the results may prove to be of some use to the plant breeder.
