INHERITANCE OF PIGMENTATION IN OKRA

KALlA and Padda (1962) found that the purple colour in calyx. and petal veins
in okra was caused by the same gene. They also observed that purple fruit
colour was dominant to green and both dominant to creamy fruit colour, and
thus established an allelomorphic series in regard to the fruit colour in okra.
