CHROMOSOMAL LOCATION OF GENES DETERMINING GRAIN WEIGHT IN HEXAPLOID WHEAT THROUGH MONOSOMIC ANALYSIS

Published on

The isolation of a complete set of 21 monosomic (2n-l) stocks in Chinese Spring
[1] has provided an opportunity to exploit the potentialities of monosomic analysis
for wheat genetic studies. In the present study, monosomic lines of var. Chinese
Spring have been used to determine specific chromosome(s) controlling higher
thousand grain weight in a wheat-rye recombinant line, Selection 111.
