A CASE OF PARTIAL DIALYSIS OF CARPELS IN LINSEED

THE phenomenon of dialysis is of fairly frequent occurrence in nature
and there are many plants, whi<?h though ordinarily gamophyllous, exhibit
either partial or complete dialysis of the different floral organs. Mast.ers
(1849) and Worsdell (1916)_have discussed this plienomenon and have given
a number of.instances, but.the abnormality described below in linseed has
not been reported. so far.
